Several Sundays ago, we went to Imfolozi Game Park for a day trip. The usual giraffe, zebra, antelope, wildebeest, buffalo, vultures etc. The award for the day went to the rhino, as we saw about 15 altogether - our record so far. The best sighting was a mud hole where 9 of them were rolling around together in a lovely squishy quagmire.
Why do rhino's have horns?
To tell other animals to get out of the way. Boom boom.
Game sighting is a fickle thing though. After watching this group for half an hour, they all got up and went their separate ways into the bush. For the next car coming along the track, it was as if NOTHING had happened, and they drove past, wondering why we sat parked off the road looking at a bare muddy patch.
They're amazingly huge creatures, but as the cartoon above shows, really quite expressionless. Maybe it's because their eyesight is so poor, they can't see what each other's faces look like anyway.

…just another lovely day out and many a photo opportunity. Unfortunately, the jokes I found DON"T get any better, so we'll leave it at that.
